Assessment & Testing

Through assessment and testing, I provide my clients with Individual Education Plans, 504 Plans, college accommodations, medical help, educational assistance and support towards a healthy well-being. Psychological testing involves the administration of a series of empirically derived tests aimed at answering particular questions and providing answers about a person’s cognitive, academic, emotional and interpersonal abilities and functioning. These may include achievement tests, intelligence tests, neuropsychological tests and personality tests. Achievement tests are used to measure the amount of knowledge that a person has acquired in a particular area such as reading, math and writing. Intelligence tests attempt to measure a person’s intelligence or ability level.

Assessments provide accurate measures of current levels of functioning. Identification of individual strength and differences can be the catalyst to maximum learning. Understanding cognitive capacities, achievement levels, and processing profiles can drive individualized intervention for learning. A comprehensive evaluation will facilitate educational needs. Assessments provide answers to the complex learning problems one may be struggling with. Results will provide individual interventions/recommendations to remediate/alleviate difficulties. An evaluation may provide you with diagnostic information, educational levels, learning style, pinpointing learning difficulties, cognitive strengths and weaknesses, therapeutic needs, behavioral needs etc.

“I was blessed with a child with a learning disability. He is the most outgoing, friendly, and loving child a parent could ask for. Unfortunately, his learning disability compounded by ADHD severely impacted his ability to comprehend and retain. As a result, he floundered in school and his self-confidence was impacted making education very challenging. With Ms. Mallia’s help and diagnosis, we were able to create a plan that allowed my son to finish high school and receive a college degree in hospitality; a perfect career path based on his skills and personality. He is now set on a path of success and self-support. His self-confidence is high, and he is a happy normal young man! Thank you, Ms. Mallia, for your support and encouragement.”
-Chuck L., Pompano Beach, FL

“We used Ms. Mallia’s services for both of our kids and are extremely satisfied! She was able to quickly catch on to the issues we were having and her approach was tailored to fit our needs. All testing and evaluations were done within a few days! Kimberly explained the testing process and results, and answered all of our questions. The reports we received were extremely helpful to receive services from the School District, that benefit our kids. Both out children were very comfortable with Ms. Mallia and loved meeting with her!”
-Biliana W., Lake Worth, FL

“I highly recommend Ms. Mallia, David is now receiving what he needs and deserves in his school. Our previous state misdiagnosed David with an emotional behavioral disorder (EBD). Ms. Mallia worked with him and concluded his behaviors are due autism spectrum disorder (ASD) not EBD. He is no longer banned from recess and no longer has to sit at an isolated desk. David now receives social, communication, and though perseveration support/teachings/interventions from ESE specialists because of his IEP!”
